UAT Courses
Dance of the Channels
Channel Interactions and Holography
(Previously Unified Acupuncture Theory Foundations)
A single unifying theory to navigate channel interactions with the use of image thinking
Main clinical application – pain and musculoskeletal disorders
In UAT Foundations course you learn the principles of:
- Dr. Tan’s Balance Method
- Distal Needling with Imaging and Mirroring
- Master Tong’s Acupuncture
- Japanese Meridian Theory
- Applied Channel Theory that will give you rapid clinical results.
Based on the I-Ching, Yin/Yang and Classical TCM theory you get a clear understanding of how channels interact using 6 different systems. Upon completion of the course you will be able to immediately apply the learned principles in your clinic and integrate them into your pre-existing knowledge of acupuncture.
Applied Nan Jing Acupuncture – Level I
The theory taught in the Dance of the Channels course is combined with the 4 Needles 5 Elements Saam Acupuncture and Abdominal Palpation, giving you a complete system of treating Zang-Fu patterns. The abdominal palpation technique gives you an objective diagnosis and the means to immediately verify the efficacy of your treatment. Saam Acupuncture gives a simple 4-needle approach to treating the internal disorders. The system is further expanded by diagnosing and treating Shen patterns, which gives a unique approach to addressing emotional well being and balance of the patient.
Applied I Ching Acupuncture – Level I
While other UAT courses are rooted in Yin/Yang and Five Element theories, this course delves deeper into the uses of the I-Ching. The I-Ching’s richness and complexity can lead to profound and long-lasting changes in the patient. Even though the I-Ching is a vast and dense subject, this course breaks down the basic use in acupuncture and makes it accessible. When used with other courses of the UAT System, a complete system emerges that allows the practitioner to treat a large array of conditions that are presented in the clinic.
UAT Certificate Program
Unified Acupuncture Theory (UAT) is a method for understanding the mechanisms of how acupuncture works. The UAT model is a tool that explains the underlying principles of meridian systems and interactions and it is used as the framework for all treatment possibilities. Coming from an integrative mindset, UAT facilitates an inter-disciplinary approach to acupuncture.
Having a simple system that underlies all major acupuncture modalities such as Balance Method, I-Ching, Distal Needling, 5 Element Theory, Saam Acupuncture, Japanese Acupuncture, Manaka Acupuncture and TCM, allows practitioners to incorporate many different approaches into a coherent system for effective treatments.
The UAT Certificate program is a way for practitioners to improve their clinical skills and their understanding of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. There are 3 levels to the program (Basic/Practitioner, Advanced and Master).
